I EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM  QUALIFICATIONS I

Bron Imaging Group offers a school program for the benefit of educational institutions, faculty and students in order to aid in the education of future photographers. The program consists of product discounts, seminars, and a lecture series.  Bron Imaging Group is offering discounts on the purchase of all of the products from our manufacturers, broncolor, California Sunbounce, Foba, Kobold, Sinar, and Visatec. In order to receive a discount on purchasing equipment it is necessary to read and comply with the rules listed below. All necessary forms must then be submitted to an authorized Bron Imaging Group dealer. If there is not an authorized Sinar Bron dealer in your immediate area contact Bron Imaging Group at education@bronimaging.com.

Educational Institutions

The Bron Imaging Educational Program is directed to educational institutions that teach a curriculum directed towards a student desiring a career in the field of photography. The program includes such institutions as listed and excluded below but is not limited by the listing. Bron imaging Group can judge the qualification of an institution on a case by case basis.

Qualified Institutions

Accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction for grades K‐12 or a school district for such schools
Accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full‐time study*

Nonqualified Institutions

Non-accredited schools
Museums
Churches
Religious organizations that are not accredited schools
Libraries Training centers or schools granting certificates for courses such as computer software training including, without limitation: Ziff Davis University, Learning Tree University, New Horizon Computer Learning Center, Teacher Training Centers
Military schools that do not grant academic degrees Organizations affiliated with a university or qualified institution that are not directly involved in the process of photographic educational programs such as a university affiliated research center or a university associated museum or archives.
Research laboratories not recognized by the Department of Education. For example, institutions recognized by other government branches such as the Department of Defense or Energy is not eligible. In addition, laboratories qualified as FFRDC and UARC are not eligible (FFRDC means Federally Funded Research and Development Centers and UARC means University Affiliated Research Center). Examples include: Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and any entity considered a FFRDC or UARC. * Accrediting Associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the State Board of Education that teach students as their primary focus include: Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Western Association of Colleges and Schools, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, New England Association of Colleges and Schools, Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools.

Faculty and Instructors

Qualified Faculty, Teachers, and Instructors Teachers instructing in grades K‐12 at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full‐time instruction who are engaged in teaching photography as part of an art or journalism program.
Full time faculty member or instructor at higher education institutions defined as accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study who are engaged in teaching photography as part of an art, advertising, journalism, or commercial photography program.
Part time faculty or instructors at qualified institutions may be eligible for the educational discount but only on a case by case basis.

Nonqualified Examples

Faculty, teachers, and instructors not currently employed at an accredited K-12 or higher education institution that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study. Faculty, teachers, and instructors who are not willing or able to provide appropriate identification

Students

Qualified Students Students enrolled in grades K-12 at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction that are enrolled in photography class or classes as part of an art or journalism program.
Full time students at higher education institutions defined as accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study who are enrolled in photography classes as part of an art, advertising, journalism, or commercial photography program.

Full time student is defined by the institutions definition of full time enrolled student.

Identification and Forms

Bron Imaging Group requires our dealers to authenticate qualified Educational discount purchasers according to the following policies for appropriate identification.

Educational Institution Definition

For a Purchase by an Educational Institution, Appropriate Identification means:

A valid, official purchase order or check issued by an Educational Institution or the school district of the primary or secondary school; or Current credit card information with the proper name, billing address, and 'ship to' or delivery address of the Educational Institution or school district or school; or A current personal credit card or check payment from Individuals who are faculty or staff with a 'ship to' or delivery address of the Educational Institution or school.

Faculty and Instructors Definition

For a Purchase by faculty, teacher or instructor, Appropriate Identification means: Clear, readable copies of the following documents: A current, valid photo identification and valid evidence of current employment by an accredited Educational Institution. Examples include without limitation: School photo identification card that includes date validating current status; or School photo identification or drivers license or other official photo identification with corroborating evidence including but not limited to: faculty or staff pay check stubs; course curriculums taught with a valid date and printed with the Educational Institution logo or seal; or an official letter from the dean or principle of the Educational Institution.

Students Definition

For a Purchase by student, Appropriate Identification means: Clear, readable copies of the following documents: A current, valid photo identification and valid evidence of current enrollment in an accredited Educational Institution. Examples include without limitation: School photo identification card that includes date validating current status as student. Copy of current course curriculum with a valid date and printed with the Educational Institution logo or seal; or an official letter from the dean or principle of the Educational Institution stating student is enrolled full time in a photography program.

For K-12 students only:

when the above listed Appropriate Identification is not available, an official letter from a teacher at the Educational Entity verifying the student's right to order Educational Discounts. Validity. Each identification provided to a Bron Imaging Group dealer shall be valid for a period of time not to exceed one (1) year from the date that the Appropriate Identification was actually furnished to dealer, or, if applicable, the expected graduation date for the Individual, whichever is less. Bron Imaging Group reserves the right to refuse an Educational discount to any institution, teacher, faculty member, instructor, or student at any time for any reason if Sinar Bron does not deem said is qualified for the discount. No reason need be stated and all refusals are solely at the discretion of Bron Imaging Group. This offer is valid only in the United States. Foreign students may participate as along as they qualify as being enrolled in an institution with in the United States. It will be the student's responsibility to pay all duties or taxes if the purchased equipment is returned to their country of residence. Some warranties may not apply to equipment transported to a foreign students country of residence.
